About Mexico City Ecological Park
The Parque Ecológico de la Ciudad de México wraps around the northern and eastern slopes of the Xitle volcano, whose eruption created the Pedregal lava fields. Protected since 1989, it was restored in 2020 with a butterfly garden, a pollinator garden, trails, bike paths and viewing platforms (CDMX official tourism site).
Opening hours, prices and seasonal openings change, so please check with Mexico City Ecological Park before you go.
