About The Palacio de Bellas Artes
The Palacio de Bellas Artes, on Avenida Juárez by the Alameda Central, is the headquarters of the national fine arts institute (INBAL) and home of the national theatre, dance, symphony and opera companies and the Ballet Folklórico de México; its main hall seats some 1,700. The building is principally Art Nouveau outside and Art Deco inside, its interior completed by Federico Mariscal, and the first floor has murals by Rufino Tamayo (CDMX official tourism site).
