About Museo de la Ciudad de México
The Museo de la Ciudad de México fills the former palace of the Counts of Santiago de Calimaya, a few blocks south of the Zócalo. Its 26 galleries trace the city from Mexico-Tenochtitlan to the present, with codices and maps, furniture, ceramics, paintings and photographs, alongside exhibitions by artists who see the city in their own way. Open Tuesday to Sunday, 10am–6pm (CDMX official tourism site).
Opening hours, prices and seasonal openings change, so please check with Museo de la Ciudad de México before you go.
