At Cholula the sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de los Remedios stands on the summit of the great pre-Hispanic pyramid, now grown over like a hill; the archaeological zone is run by INAH (lugares.inah.gob.mx). On clear mornings Popocatépetl rises behind it.
